Gerard Moreno scored and paid tribute to health workers

Gerard Moreno stuck to a promise he made on a Spanish television programme and he scored the first goal of the Europa League final. The in form Spanish striker opened the scoring just before the half hour mark.
The Villarreal striker was the first one to Dani Parejo's cross. There was no offside and the goal counted.
Gerard Moreno was unable to reach with his head, but he stuck his right foot out and he managed to knock the ball past David de Gea.
The player went crazy in the celebration and during the celebration, he remembered what he promised on TV programme 'La Resistencia'.
The asked him to celebrate the goal as if he were vaccinating someone to pay tribute to all the health workers who done their bit during the pandemic. And he did just that.
