Spain full-back Jose Luis Gaya returned to Valencia training on Tuesday after missing out on the World Cup in Qatar with a sprain. He could not play for the Spanish national team. However, he trained well with his current club.
The Spanish coach said that he could not wait for him because he had no replacement for Jordi Alba if something happened to him on the pitch.
As a result, Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso decided give Gaya holiday in order to disconnect.
The only two absentees were Mouctar Diakhaby, who is suffering a muscle injury, and Jaume Domenech, who will still be out for several months due to a serious knee injury.
