Frappart to referee England vs Spain Euro final

UEFA confirmed on Thursday that France's Stephanie Frappart will referee the Women's European Championship final between England and Spain on Sunday, the 27th, with kick-off at 18:00 local time, at the St. Jakob-Park stadium in Basel.
The 41-year-old referee, an international official since 2011, has overseen 111 UEFA competition matches throughout her career. At the European Championship in Switzerland, she has already refereed two group stage matches, as well as the quarter-final between Norway and Italy (1-2).
Frappart, who served as fourth official in the previous European Championship final in 2022, will be joined on Sunday by her compatriot Willy Delajod in the VAR room.
Germany's Christian Dingert will serve as Assistant VAR, with the Netherlands' Dennis Higler as VAR Support. Additionally, France's Camille Soriano and Italy's Francesca Di Monte will be the assistant referees, and Italy's Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi will act as the fourth official.
"I am very happy to have been selected to referee the Women's European Championship final. It is a great honour and a moment of pride at the culmination of a wonderful tournament," said Frappart after her appointment by the UEFA Referees Committee to oversee the final.
UEFA's Director of Refereeing, Roberto Rosetti, expressed his satisfaction with the referees' performance in the tournament, stating that they have made significant strides in terms of physical preparation and officiating quality.
"Stephanie Frappart deserves this appointment, as she is a role model for the young generation of female referees due to her professionalism and conduct on and off the pitch," he added.
