Former Marseille and Getafe player Abdel Barrada dies at 35

The Moroccan Abdelaziz Barrada, who played for Getafe and Olympique Marseille among other clubs, died in France at the age of 35, according to the Moroccan media ‘Le 360 Sport’.

Barrada, who was born in Provins (France) on 19th June 1989, began his career with French club Sénart-Moissy before moving to the youth ranks of Paris Saint-Germain.

In 2010 he arrived at Getafe to play one season in the reserve team and, the following season, he was promoted to the first team, where he spent two seasons. He played 66 games as a ‘Azulon’ and scored 4 goals in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 campaigns.
