Former City man David Silva renews with Real Sociedad

David Silva will continue to display his magic at Real Sociedad. With just a few days to go until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, the 'Txuri-urdin' club have made official the renewal of the former Manchester City player's new contract.
At 37 years of age, the Canary Islander will extend his stay with the Donostia team until 2024. Playing more than 25 games per season since returning to Spain, the midfielder said he feels "fine" and "eager to continue".
"My family is also very happy here and I value that very much. There are a lot of young people who are eager to learn, and having people with more experience to help them is always important for the development of the squad," he said in an interview with the club's official media.
Silva, who has played a key role in the team's successes, highlights the excitement in the city and the way people feel the club: "You see the excitement of the people in the street, everyone, young and old, in the street with the shirt... it's something that is passed down from generation to generation and that's very nice".
With 90 games played for the Basque club, 6 goals and 15 assists in his 3 seasons, the 'Magician' Silva will try to play with Real Sociedad in the next edition of the Champions League to retire in style.
