Flick's warning to Alaba on Real Madrid and Barcelona

Alaba's contract at Bayern expires in June 2021 and the club's main priority is to get him to renew. But, at the moment, they have been unsuccessful. Alaba has kept on saying no to Bayern's proposals.

Real Madrid and Barca have appeared on the scene as possible destinations for the defenders. Flick spoke about it prior to the Bundesliga game with Cologne. 

"I'm not concerned about the January transfer window right now. I still have hope he will renew at Bayern because I think he has the perfect environment to grow in Munich. He enjoys training with the team, there's a great atmosphere here. Our football is successful and Bayern are one of the best clubs in the world," Flick said in comments which 'Goal' have reported.

And he warned him: "The conditions here are ideal for any player. I think he should think twice."

That said, he understands that Alaba has to make the final decision. "It's his decision and we'll respect it, obviously, but I hope he stays. What I feel or think is irrelevant," Flick concluded.
