Laporta and Murthy met at midday on Tuesday to finalise the details of the negotiations for the signings of Gaya and Carlos Soler, two of Barcelona's targets.
According to journalist Hector Gomez, Valencia have offered Barcelona two players who want to leave Mestalla and who have one year left on their current contract.
That is why Valencia would like to cash in on their departures with a transfer this summer, before they can leave for free. However, Barcelona's situation is not very good at the moment.
Barcelona will not do anything crazy for these two players, or for anyone else this summer. The current board is continuing its mission to restore some normality to the Camp Nou coffers.
In addition, Carlos Soler is not a priority for the Barça management due to the level of midfield, while Gaya is one of the options for left-back, for whose position Marcos Alonso and Javi Galan are also of interest.
