Fernandes sacrificing his career at Man Utd, claims ex-club player

Bruno Fernandes has often been a subject of criticism, including from Manchester United legend Roy Keane, but Bardsley believes the Portuguese midfielder is showing immense dedication despite the team's struggles.
"I think Fernandes is sacrificing his career to try and get United back to where they should be," he told Boyle Sports. "In any other team, he would be winning trophies. He's consistently the standout performer, with his goals and assists, and I honestly don't know where United would be without him."
While the Portuguese's passion for success is evident in his work ethic and commitment, his frustrations have been visible at times, particularly when his efforts seem unrewarded. Bardsley acknowledged this, saying: "Roy Keane's criticism is valid in some respects, but it's clear Bruno wants to win. His frustration is just a reflection of his desire to see United succeed."
Despite the club's underwhelming position in the Premier League, with Fernandes contributing 16 goals and nine assists this season, Bardsley remains confident in his importance to the squad.
"His drive and determination are second to none, but as a captain, he doesn't like showing frustration. It's all because he wants to win trophies, and that's exactly what United needs to get back to the top,” Bardsley added.
