Fernandes heads home for Russia in extra time

Russia went level in the last ten minutes of extra time courtesy of a Fernandes goal.

The hosts were able to win a free-kick in a dangerous position after Pivaric deliberately elbowed a ball heading down the wing.

The free-kick was curled in by Dzagoev. It was outswinging, but took a flashing header from Fernandes and careered into the bottom left of the goal.

The crowd erupted, and Russian celebrations showed just how much this meant to them.

Russia saved themselves from a late exit.
