Fernandes backs Hojlund to build momentum after vital Bournemouth goal

Rasmus Hojlund’s stoppage-time goal salvaged a 1-1 draw for Manchester United against 10-man Bournemouth, with Bruno Fernandes emphasising the importance of the striker’s contribution.
The Danish forward tapped in Manuel Ugarte’s effort in the 96th minute, rescuing a point after Antoine Semenyo’s first-half opener.
Fernandes highlighted the significance of the goal. “Strikers are about scoring goals... he knows the responsibility of being the No. 9 of United, and he has to score goals. That’s the demand of a club like this”.
“Everyone is very happy to see a striker scoring, and hopefully it’s going to give him a little bit of a push for what’s coming," Fernandes added,
Hojlund’s goal, his fourth in the league this season, came after Bournemouth’s Evanilson was sent off in the 70th minute for a reckless challenge on Noussair Mazraoui.
