Fer Niño scores first La Liga goal of 2021

We now know the first goalscorer of the year in Spain: the promising Fer Niño opened the scoring in the Villarreal v Levante match on Saturday and became one of the names of the La Liga matchday.

Kaoru Mitoma was the first to do so in the whole world; Tomás Soucek in the top 5 leagues; and the Villarreal striker in Spanish football.

With just under 20 minutes played, Fer Niño made the most of a gift from the wing to score.

Alfonso Pedraza, with his second assist of the season, received the ball on the left and put a cross in the box that the 20-year-old striker, unmarked, put into the net to become the first goalscorer of 2021.
