Fenerbahce look to land Liverpool outcast at Mourinho's urging

Reports from Turkey suggest that the Portuguese manager is urging the Turkish giants to move for the Italy international, who has struggled to make an impression since arriving at Anfield last summer.

Chiesa joined Liverpool in a deal worth an initial £10 million, potentially rising to £12.5 million, but has barely featured under Arne Slot.

Despite being touted as a low-cost gem during the Reds' most recent transfer window, Chiesa has endured a season to forget. The 27-year-old, who can operate on either flank or in a central attacking role, has amassed just 33 minutes of Premier League football across four brief appearances.

His integration was further hampered by a muscle injury that sidelined him for over two months in the first half of the season. 

Liverpool, who clinched the title emphatically with a 5-1 win over Tottenham last weekend, have not relied on him, with established stars such as Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo firmly ahead in the pecking order.
