Fake Guardiola and Xavi target India in coaching scam

Nigerian princes, dodgy tax returns and fraudulent antivirus software. The Internet is awash with scams designed to trick the unwary. This time, football has become the target.
The Indian FA has revealed a brazen fraud attempt targeting their national team's vacant managerial position. They launched a recruitment process that initially attracted 170 applications, which was then whittled down to 10. The FA stated that they had even received applications from Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez.
"The AIFF received emails purporting to be applications from Spanish coaches Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez. The authenticity of these applications could not be confirmed, and it was subsequently discovered that they were indeed fraudulent," the Indian FA stated.
Fortunately for India, the scam proved fruitless. Pep Guardiola remains at the helm of Manchester City, while Xavi Hernandez continues to seek a new managerial opportunity following his departure from Barcelona.
