Ex-Barcelona target Bogarde looking for a team

The nephew of the legendary Winston Bogarde is looking for a new destination. His contract with Hoffenheim expires on 30 June 2024 and it is clear to him that it is time to try his luck at another club.

In the past, the midfielder was one of the trendy gems. Barcelona, where his uncle played, were interested in the player, who was also on the agendas of Tottenham and Arsenal, among others.

Since then, the Dutchman has alternated his presence in the first team with the academy. He also spent time on loan at Groningen and tiptoed around PEC Zwolle before returning to Germany. This season he has 22 appearances to his name, only 11 starts, in which he has scored three goals for Hoffenheim II.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 21-year-old will have no problem finding a new club as several European teams are willing to sign him as a free agent in the next transfer window. 

In the meantime, Bogarde, who made Bundesliga history as the youngest Dutchman to make his debut in Germany, promises to give his all for his current club. There will be time to think about the future at the end of the season.
