Evra to Mbappe: 'Stop copying Neymar'

You would have thought that the pundits would have some nice things to say about Mbappe after the clash against Peru. France won and the 19-year-old scored the only goal, becoming his nation's youngest ever goalscorer at a major international tournament.

However, in the post-match analysis, former French international Patrice Evra wasn't happy with the fashion in which the young star played. Mbappe was flashy at points, and Evra believes he should try and stick to what caught peoples' eye when he played at Monaco.
"I just feel sometimes he’s playing flashy," Evra said, in his analysis after the clash. "When at Monaco he was more direct, so my advice is to keep it simple."
For the 37-year-old, Mbappe is trying to copy his PSG teammate Neymar. "It’s not about copying Neymar but playing with him and trying some skills, " he said. "I know he’s not someone who will get a big head but he needs to be careful."
"Deschamps will not like that. Even when he beat the man, I know Didier will not like it."
