Dnipro played Sevilla in the 2015 Europa League final, but four years after losing that final, the club have announced that they will not play any competition in the 2019-20 season.
It all started that very year when Ihor Koloyski, the club's owner, stopped investing money in the club. This meant debts accumulated and the players are staff were not paid. This resulted in the team getting demoted various times.
The bad relationship with the club's president plus the beginning of the war between Ukraine and Russia, caused a very difficult situation for the club. The team ended up in the fourth tier of Ukrainian football.
Zozulya, now playing for Albacete in Spain's second tier, was one of the main men who relaunched the new Dnipro FC-1 in 2017.
Nevertheless, the mass exodus of players and all the problems over the last few years led Dnipro to take this decision, according to 'AS'.
