Diakhaby gave away both penalties and was subbed off

Valencia v Atalanta saw Diakhaby hit the headlines for the wrong reasons in the first half. The French central defender conceded both penalties the Italian side got and he was replaced at half-time. 

Inside the second minute, Ilicic was going down the right, he went into the box, cut inside and was brought down by Diakhaby. Referee Hategan was in no doubt and gave the spot kick. Ilicic scored from 12 yards. 

Rodrigo then scored to give Valencia hope but shortly before the break, Diakhaby gave away another penalty. This time it was for handball after good play by Ilicic. The VAR buzzed in and the referee gave a penalty after an on-field review. 

The Slovenian attacker, like last time, beat Cillessen to make it 1-2 at half-time. Celades left Diakhaby in the dressing room for the second half and brought on another attacker, Goncalo Guedes, to try and pull off a miracle.
