De Ligt could be coming back to Ajax on loan

Matthijs de Ligt has not had it easy since coming to Juventus. The Netherlands defender has not made the expected impact in the beginnings of his Serie A career and his performance is far from what he showed last season.

In his latest performances with the 'Vecchia Signora', the centre-back did not perform well. Against Lazio, for example, in the regular competition, he was outdone by Ciro Immobile, one of the best strikers in the competition.

He did not even start against Udinese, a situation that was repeated in the Italian Super Cup match, again against Simone Inzaghi's side.

Because of his ongoing issues, Ajax have been looking to bring De Ligt back on loan until the end of this season. 

According to the Portuguese media, Erik ten Hag's team could ask Juventus for a loan, but the Italian team has yet to answer these claims.
