Davide Ancelotti helps Botafogo win as goalkeeper coach's assistant

Botafogo put thoughts of the Club World Cup to the back of their minds as they continued their Brasileirao campaign. 'Fogao' locked horns with Vasco da Gama in the 'Classico da Amizade', a match that saw Davide Ancelotti present on the bench for his new side.
The Italian, watching on as his players secured a 2-0 win, couldn't officially take charge due to a problem with his paperwork. The man from Parma didn't receive his licence in time to manage 'Glorioso', and was instead registered for the match as assistant to the goalkeeping coach.
Davide Ancelotti was very active throughout, despite his unusual role in the match. In fact, the coach was even seen on occasion issuing instructions to Claudio Cacapa, the current caretaker manager.
At the final whistle, 'Carletto's' son embraced John Textor, the club's owner, and received a warm congratulations. The Italian is expected to take his place as first-team coach next Wednesday (early Thursday morning in the UK) against Vitoria.
