The season is coming to an end and the transfer market is already on the horizon. Undoubtedly, one of the most coveted players in the upcoming transfer window will be Jonathan David, whose contract expires on 30 June and who has already announced, via his social networks, that he will not be staying at Lille.
"Everything has a beginning and an end. It's time to say goodbye. I've had five magnificent years, everyone has helped me so much and I hope to have repaid your generosity with joy. To the fans, thank you for always being there, helping me even in the bad times, I will always have you in my heart," he said.
There are several teams on the trail of Jonathan David, although there is one team that has shown a strong interest in acquiring the services of the Canadian international. According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli have already made an initial offer and are awaiting a response. The Premier League, which the player likes, is also involved in the bidding.
The striker will leave Lille after five seasons in which he has played a total of 231 games and scored 109 goals. David is also the third highest goal scorer in the history of the French club.
