Darren Jackson steps down from St Mirren role

Oran Kearney was unveiled as the new boss on Friday, signing a three year deal. Alan Stubbs was dismissed from his post earlier in the season after a poor start to the season. 

Jackson came to the club with Stubbs as part of his backfroom staff, but he will not continue under the new man. 

"St Mirren Football Club can confirm that it has parted company with first-team coach Darren Jackson," the club said in a statement. 

"The club would like to thank Darren for his work during his time in charge at The Simple Digital Arena and wish him the best for the future."

Things get no easier for St Mirren, as they face Celtic in the next game on September 14th.
