Dani Alves ruled out of World Cup

Dani Alves, who is the most decorated player in world football, has been ruled out of featuring for Brazil in this summer's World Cup in Russia, as reported by Brazilian outlet 'Globo Esporte'.
The defender picked up a knee injury when playing for club side PSG in their French Cup final against Les Herbiers, and although initial worries were played down, he will reportedly not be fit enough for Brazil's World Cup squad.
The news comes as a big blow for the Brazilian who, at the age of 35, will most likely not get another chance to play at the tournament.
The injury means that Manchester City defender Danilo, or Bayern's Rafinha, may take Alves' spot in the first XI.
