Cristante close to renewing with Roma

We all know the importance of Jose Mourinho in the dugouts of the teams he has been in. Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid or Totenham are some of them and thanks to the signing of the Portuguese, great players arrived to win titles. 

Now, Roma's objective is to build on a good project and secure a place in the Champions League in 2023-24. The power of coaches is important in general, but that of the former Totenham coach is impressive. 

Just a few months ago, the renewal of Bryan Cristante was something unthinkable. However, 'The Special One' set to work on it and seems to have managed to convince the Italian midfielder, who is already a permanent fixture in his squad. 

He has made nine appearances so far this season and played an important role in Roma's victory over Salernitana as his goal on the opening day of the Serie A season secured the first three points of the season. According to 'Gazzetta dello Sport', moves to extend Cristante's contract are ongoing and the deal will soon be finalised. 

Great news for Roma and for Jose Mourinho who, through this renewal, begins to build what will be the future team for the coming years. At the end of the season we will see if he achieves the objectives he set himself at the start of the season. It is difficult, but, for now, Juventus and Milan are making it much easier than expected.
