Crewe players to pay back travelling fans after 6-0 loss

Crewe got off to a terrible start, as they trailed 2-0 inside eight minutes.

The unbeaten League Two side Colchester went on to dominate the rest of the match, with Crewe unable to make any breakthrough.

"The players will put their hands in their pockets, without a shadow of a doubt, because the fans deserve credit for coming all of this way and they don't deserve that," Artell told 'BBC Radio Stoke'

The Crewe side opened their season with a 6-0 victory over Morecambe at home.

However, they have struggled to find good form since then.

Following Tuesday's loss, Artell's side are sitting on four points from their first four games.
