Confusion over whether Atsu has been found alive

'A Bola' were one of the first media sources to report that current Hatayspor player Chrsitian Atsu had been found alive after being lost in the aftermath of Turkey and Syria's 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

The source added some details about the state of his health. At that point, they were claiming that the 31 year old Ghanaian striker was in hospital with right foot injuries and difficulties breathing.

A short time after the discovery was announced, another Hatayspor player, who won the day before thanks to a 97th minute Atsu goal, reported that neither the Ghanain nor sporting director Taner Savut had been found yet.

"Taner Savut and Christian Atsu are under the rubble. We need help as soon as possible. Ekinci Mahallesi, İnönü Boulevard, Block A1, Flat 9, Ronesans Residence, Hatay", Kerim Alici said on Instagram.
