Confirmed lineups for England v Malta clash

England host Malta in a Euro 2024 qualifier at Wembley Stadium at 20:45 CET.  Gareth Southgate's side have already qualified for next year's tournament in Germany, but top spot is still up for grabs as they top Group C with 16 points, three ahead of Ukraine with a game in hand.

The Three Lions coach told a pre-match press conference that one way of motivating his players was to show them a footage of the late Manchester United and England legend Bobby Charlton.

For their part, Malta find themselves bottom of the group with zero points after losing all seven games they have played so far, having scored two goals and conceded 18.

England starting XI: Pickford (GK); Trippier, Maguire, Guehi, Tomori; Alexander-Arnold, Gallagher, Henderson; Foden, Kane and Rashford.

Malta starting XI: Bonello (GK); Jean Borg, Pepe, Borg; Camenzuli, Teuma, Guillaumier, Yankam, Mbong; Reid and Paul Mbong.
