Como move to sign Depay as a free agent

Memphis Depay left Atletico Madrid after the end of last season and did not renew his contract. His time as an Atletico player has resulted in 40 appearances, 13 goals and two assists. He is currently without a team.

According to 'Tuttosport', Como are interested in securing the Dutch player's services. Cesc Fabregas has no doubts about his quality and hopes to bring back a good version of him.

On their return to Serie A, the Italian side are currently scouring the market for reinforcements to give them the level and experience they need to have an outstanding season. The club has already made official the arrivals of Pepe Reina, Alberto Moreno and Raphael Varane as free agents. They also paid Roma 4.5 million euros for Andrea Belotti. 

After four years in Spain - two at FC Barcelona and two at Atletico, Depay has not been able to deliver the performance expected of him after his remarkable seasons at Olympique Lyon.
