Coentrao returns to football

Fabio Coentrao is going to play again after a year out. The Portuguese player left Rio Ave in 2019 and since then hasn't played again, hence he was deemed to be retired.

To continue with the strangeness of the move, he ex-Real Madrid player will return to his last team, a Rio Ave where he will enjoy a new spell, the fourth of his career.

He was already at the side between 2005 and 2007, he returned in 2009 and played his latest campaign there in 2018-19.

According to diverse sources from the country, the 32 year old player is already undergoing a medical and will sign soon, so he will be officially announced in the next few hours.
