City trail at half time as Eze and Henderson heroics give Palace edge in FA Cup final

Crystal Palace are on course to win the first trophy of their 119-year history and seal their place in Europe for next season, as they lead the FA Cup final against Manchester City by 1-0 after half time.
The Sky Blues started out the game dominantly, holding the majority of the ball and creating the most chances. But it was the Eagles who ended up breaking the deadlock in the 16th minute.
Mateta held up the play from Henderson's long ball before exchanging the ball with Kamada, and releasing Munoz down the right. The Colombian sent a low cross in the middle, which Eze met on the volley to slot past Ortega.
Pep Guardiola's men had the chance to level 20 minutes later, with Mitchell's late challenge on Silva earning City a penalty. Regular penalty taker Haaland let Marmoush take the spot-kick, but the Egyptian had his attempt saved by Henderson.
The English goalkeeper had just risked seeing a direct red for a handball from outside the box less than 10 minutes before his heroic save. But VAR check confirmed referee Atwell's on-pitch, as Palace will look to defend their lead in the second period.
