"Chido Obi leaving Arsenal for Man United? It's unfortunate"

Chido Obi joined Arsenal's academy at age 14 and was regarded as having great potential. He notably played the Gunners' under-21s when he was just 15, but left last summer after the club failed to convince him to sign a new contract.
"Depending on what the reason is, they want to go somewhere else, that is it," Arteta said on the 17-year-old prospect. "To persuade a player to stay, a player has to be willing to be with us and commit to us, and I don't know specifically, both parties will feel very different about it."
The Arsenal head coach revealed that he was not involved in the transfer, admitting that the club were unfortunate to lose on of their youngsters. "I wasn't too involved in that decision. When a player decides the best pathway is to leave, there's not much you can do. Very unfortunate," he said.
After formalising his deal with the Red Devils in October, Obi could now feature against his former side when Man United host Arteta's men on Sunday in the Premier League. The Denmark international has played in three of Man United's last three games under Ruben Amorim.
