Chicharito to stay at Galaxy

Chicharito is having a bad time of it at LA Galaxy. Even worse, he has failed to gell with the team and the fans. That is why rumours about him signing for Chivas Guadalajara have gained so much traction in recent weeks.

However, GM Dennis te Kloese spoke ahead of the Galaxy's game with the Timbers on 'ESPN' and squashed all speculation.

“I think it’s been a very challenging year for everybody and certainly for Javier we obviously had him come in with high, high expectations, from him, from ourselves, from everybody,” Te Kloese said. “We haven’t been able to connect these high expectations so far. There is no truth to any rumours on him going to Chivas or anything else.”

Chicharito arrived in LA from Sevilla for 9.4 million euros and on a bumper contract but has failed to live up to the hype in the US.
