Chelsea insist Christensen is not for sale amid Barça link

Amid interest from Spanish giants Barcelona, who wish to take the defender on loan, Chelsea have denied that they will listen to offers for Christensen in January. The Dane has played very little first team football since the arrival of new coach Maurizzio Sarri, and is thus rumoured to be interested in looking elsewhere for regular first team minutes.
Barcelona have been heaviley linked with an imminent move for the centre half, as they themselves have undergone a defensive injury crisis, leaving them with only two fit seniors central defenders in their squad. Therefore, it is said that the Catalan giants wish to bring Christensen into the fold at the Nou Camp, in order to provide cover for the likes of current first choice pairing Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet.
It is not the first time that the Spanish champions have registered interest in Christensen; they acquired about his services before he went on loan to Borussia Monchengladbach some years ago. Nevertheless, whether they want to take him on loan or permanently in January, it seems as though their Premier League counterparts have resolved not to lose the defender.
