Chelsea eye £70m Guehi return amid Premier League interest

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is the target of Chelsea, who have stated that they will be the team competing for the England international during the summer transfer window.

Newcastle and Tottenham are two Premier League teams interested in the 23-year-old centre-back, who left Chelsea for Palace in 2021 for £18 million.

All approaches were rejected by Palace in January; according to reports, the Eagles valued Guehi at about £70 million.

Guehi's original transfer to Palace included a clause that allows Chelsea to match any offer from another club, which heightens their interest.

Marc Guehi is seen by the Blues as the perfect candidate to bolster their backline, and his growth into a seasoned England international only serves to increase his allure.

Chelsea thinks they are in a good position to negotiate a deal with Guehi, who is starting the last year of his Selhurst Park contract this summer.
