Celtic storm to title with 5-0 win over Rangers

If ever there were a game to represent the differing fortunes of Glasgow's two big teams, it was this.

Celtic, who enjoyed a 10 point lead over Rangers prior to kick-off, absolutely battered Rangers off the park to secure a seventh consecutive Scottish Premiership title.

Graeme Murty's side, who managed just 36% possession and two shots on target all game, came out of the game 13 points behind their rivals, and handed them the league at Celtic Park.

Steven Gerrard, who will have been watching on, will be very concerned about the task he is undertaking should he decide to take the Ranger job, because the gap between them and Brendan Rodgers' currently seems virtually unassailable.

Rodgers has now won 11 out of 11 Old Firm derbies in charge of the Hoops, and his side were in peak condition on Saturday, putting goal after goal past Rangers. 

The first came in the 14th minute of play, as Odsonne Edouard met a Kieran Tierney cross to open the scoring.
