Ceballos could miss the match against Celta with a sprained ankle

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is a doubt for the game against Celta Vigo this Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu (14:00 CET) due to a slight sprain in his left ankle suffered in the Copa del Rey final.

The player left the field of play in the 55th minute of the match and after the scans he underwent on Tuesday he was diagnosed with a slight sprain, the evolution of which will determine his availability for Real Madrid's next league match.

Antonio Rüdiger is also doubtful, after it was confirmed that the German has undergone successful surgery on a partial tear in the external meniscus of his left leg, which will keep him sidelined until the Club World Cup.

Ferland Mendy, who picked up another injury in the cup final, 10 minutes after making his comeback after 45 days out with a muscle injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg, will undergo tests on Tuesday afternoon to determine the exact extent of his injury, this time to his right leg.
