Casillas has a go at the Ballon d'Or

Everyone has their own opinion about the Ballon d'Or. Iker Casillas made sure to show his support for his old club, Real Madrid. What he said on social media left no doubt as to what he thought about 'France Football's choices.

His first comments were about the Madrid keeper and where he came in the Ballon d'Or: "I'm really happy for Courtois! He's the best keeper in the world by a long shot. What I'm not happy about is his absence from the final three. I still do not understand what the people who distribute these awards base their decision on".

Later on, the ex-Porto man directly attacked the gala: "These awards are a joke...". "I only agree with 'France Football' about one thing: Benzema had to win! Congratulations!" he added later.

Casillas finished by giving his stance on the Club of the Year: "Congratulations to Real Madrid for coming third...". It was clear that the 2010 World Cup winner wanted to ironically complain about the results.
