Carles Perez in hospital after dog bite to genitals

Carles Perez's start to his Greek football adventure has been less than ideal. The new face of Aris Thessaloniki, whose loan from Celta was announced on 10 July, has been hospitalised following an attack by a dog, which bit him in the groin area.
'Gazzetta Gr' reports that the footballer received six stitches and that his condition is critical. The Spaniard is under observation after the incident in Thermi, Thessaloniki.
The aforementioned source gave details of the incident. The Spanish player, who resides in the municipality, was walking his dog when it was attacked by another dog. Carles Perez intervened to prevent the incident from escalating, suffering a deep wound to his genitals.
The winger was quickly taken to a private clinic - as confirmed by the club to the Greek media - and is currently under medical supervision. The estimated time of absence is unknown, but he is not expected to return in the short term.
Greece was shaping up to be the perfect destination for Carles Perez, who made his debut for his new club on 24 July in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Conference League. He arrived at the Greek club together with Ruben Reyes, the now sporting director of Aris, with whom he coincided at Getafe.
