Calero joins Levante in their ambition to sign Iborra and Morales

During his presentation as Levante's new coach until June 2026, Julian Calero was asked about the interest expressed publicly by the club's directors in signing Iborra and Morales, who finished their respective contracts with Olympiacos and Villarreal.

"Good players are good players. These are extraordinary players. The rest doesn't depend on me. These things excite the Levante fans, if we all agree, I wish it could be done. But I don't want to build castles in the air with anything,’"he said at a press conference on Monday.

"What I want are players who want to be at Levante, and they want to, and who want to be committed to the objectives that we are going to set ourselves internally. Football belongs to the people and, for people to enjoy themselves and have a good time, they have to feel proud when they come to the Ciutat de Valencia," added the manager from Madrid.

Levante's sporting director, Felipe Minambres, insisted that the club's wish is to have Iborra and Morales, but admitted that financially "things are tight" and that they still do not have all the exact information to know if they can include their chips in the salary limit for the 24-25 season.
