Cadiz renew Ivan Chapela until 2024

Cadiz announced on Tuesday the renewal of striker Ivan Chapela for two more seasons, until June 2024, after he joined from the reserve team to the first team last season.
Chapela, 23, broke into the yellow first team during his third season at Cadiz B under Álvaro Cervera, who later sacked him and gave him the opportunity to make his debut in the La Liga, where he made nine appearances, four of them as a starter.
The young striker from Chiclana de la Frontera (Cadiz) made his debut in the eighth matchday at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium against Valencia (0-0), a game in which he came on in the second half and played 19 minutes.
His debut as a starter with Cadiz was on matchday eleven, at La Ceramica stadium against Villarreal (3-3), and he also started in the draw against Mallorca (1-1) and in the defeats against Sevilla (0-1) and Osasuna (2-0).
As a substitute, he also played in the second halves of the games against Getafe (4-0) and Atletico (1-4), as well as in the 0-0 draw against Real Madrid in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
The only victory in which he took part was the one against Athletic Club at San Mames (0-1), a match in which he played 44 minutes.
