Brighton defender Veltman out several weeks with foot injury

Bad news for Brighton as Joel Veltman is set to be ruled out for several weeks with a foot injury. The Dutch defender is expected to miss multiple upcoming key matches, as reported by 'The Athletic'.
Ahead of Saturday's 4-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Southampton, Veltman is said to have suffered a blow to his foot in training, abandoning the session as a precautionary measure to avoid further damage.
"We took him out at the right moment from training, otherwise we would risk a bad injury," said Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler during a press conference on Monday. "At the moment it’s an okay injury that wouldn’t take that long, so hopefully he will be back in some weeks.”
Although the 33-year-old will be sidelined for the upcoming fixture against sixth-placed Bournemouth, the Seagulls' woes have been eased by the returns of Pervis Estupinan and Solly March, who have successfully both recovered from their respective muscle injuries.
