Bradley set for key role at Liverpool as Frimpong transfer approaches closure

Liverpool have confirmed their commitment to the future in Conor Bradley, who has just signed a new deal until 2029 and is set to start at right-back following the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to Sky Sport's Florian Plettenberg.

Arne Slot, the club's head coach, has expressed his confidence in the young Northern Irishman, stressing the need for him to get regular minutes to establish himself in the position.

Bradley, 21, has made 28 appearances this season and has shown his potential despite a number of injuries that have hindered his continuity.

The imminent arrival of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen does not pose a direct threat to Bradley, as the Dutchman is set to play a more attacking role, providing depth and pressure in the Reds' attack.

Frimpong, who has shone as a full-back and winger, will be a tactical alternative for Liverpool on the right wing. Slot has insisted that the profiles of Bradley and Alexander-Arnold should not be compared, stressing that the Northern Irishman brings other qualities to the team.
