Bournemouth's Iraola looks to continue streak against Spanish coaches

Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola boasts of an unusual record with his Bournemouth side. Since being appointed manager in 2023, he has quickly become among the best Spanish coaches in England's top tier. So much so that he has never lost against them in the league this term.
Mikel Arteta, Pep Guardiola and Unai Emery have all been unable to beat the Cherries manager in the Premier League this season. And as Bournemouth face Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium, he will be hoping to extend his streak even further.
Iraola faced the Spanish trio in successive matches between October and November, winning two and drawing one. He kickstarted his run with a 2-0 victory over Arteta's Arsenal, following up with a 1-1 draw against the Birmingham outfit and a 2-1 home win over Guardiola's Man City.
The Gunners lost by the same margin in the return fixture last week, with the Cherries completing a comeback through Dean Huijsen and Evanilson's second-half goals. Three wins and one draw. 10 points from 12 available. And now the next challenge is to overcome Unai Emery's Villains.
