Betis go ahead of Atletico for new Ligue 1 gem

Ali Cho, an 18-year-old player who plays for Angers, is in negotiations to join Betis, according to newspaper 'AS'. The promising Frenchman has previously been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.

Ali Cho is one of the great promises of French football. At 18 years of age, he is one of the sensations of the season in Ligue 1 and for his team, Angers. Several teams from the top leagues have asked for him despite his young age.

Atletico Madrid were the main suitors for the young striker, although 'Los Rojiblancos' now have a rival in this dispute who also play in La Liga.

The newspaper 'AS' reported that Betis are in talks to get Ali Cho, whose contract expires in 2023. Betis have been negotiating with him for a few months.

The aforementioned media outlet assured that the transfer could be for around ₤8 million, a considerable amount. If he does not renew, he would leave for free at the end of next season.

In addition to Atlético, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are following the rising star, but it is Betis who are closest to adding him to their squad.
