"Betis fans should be proud of our performance"

Real Betis were eliminated in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup after first taking Barcelona to extra-time and then to penalties. Pellegrini's side missed two penalties.

Left-back Juan Miranda spoke to journalist Ricardo Sierra for 'Movistar' and he left a message for the fans: "Betis fans should be proud of our performance," he said.

The Betis player also spoke about Ansu Fati's penalty: "I knew Ansu was going to throw the ball that way. We have spent many years at La Masia," he added.

Miranda praised the 38 fans who travelled to Saudi Arabia: "Thank you very much to the supporters who came. I hope we can have more experiences like this. Being a Betis fan is something different," the player concluded.
