Benzema in squad to face Shakhtar

Real Madrid announced their squad for the Champions League match with Shakhtar Donetsk. 23 footballers have been included in the list. 

The main news is the return of Karim Benzema. The French footballer rested against Elche, but he has fully recovered for the Champions League game. 

Who will not be in the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday are Rodrygo Goes and Mariano who are both injured, as are Valverde, Bale and Ceballos. These last three will be out for longer. 

Rodrygo, subject to Real Madrid releasing his medical report, has got an injury to the femoral biceps muscle in his left leg and he will be out until after the international break. 

Mariano is also out injured after breaking his nose in the game against Elche. He had go to surgery.

The squad list is the following: Courtois, Lunin, Toni Fuidias; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Vallejo, Nacho, Marcelo, Mendy, Miguel; Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Lucas Vázquez, Isco, Camavinga, Blanco; Hazard, Benzema, Asensio, Jovic and Vinicius.
