Bellingham legacy continues: Jobe crowned Championship's top young talent

Jude Bellingham has recently endured a string of disappointments, in stark contrast to the highs of last season. Iconic images captured him celebrating in white alongside his younger brother and their parents, Denise and Mark.
This time, it's Jobe who is in the spotlight, following a standout campaign that has earned him one of the EFL's most prestigious individual honours.
The regular season in the Championship concludes on Saturday, 3 May, with automatic promotion spots and Premier League relegations already confirmed.
While the final relegation place to League One remains undecided and the play-offs are still to be contested, end-of-season accolades are already being handed out. Among them is the recognition of Jobe's excellent performances for Sunderland.
At the EFL Awards ceremony, the 19-year-old midfielder received the highest number of votes after an impressive season in which Sunderland finished fourth, earning a place in the play-offs. Jobe featured in 39 matches, contributing four goals and three assists, underlining his growing influence on the pitch.
"I'm delighted to receive this award. It's been a great season and I've tried to learn as much as I can from my teammates and give my best every time," said Bellingham upon receiving the award. "I've learnt a lot from the manager, Regis Le Bris, who's brought a really solid structure to our team. I've improved physically as well, and that's helped me progress."
Now, the younger Bellingham has his sights set on the ultimate reward: promotion to the Premier League. "It's incredible to play for such a big club like Sunderland. Hopefully, we can end the season the way it deserves. Playing in the Premier League would be an amazing achievement—especially for this team, it's a huge motivation."
