Bayern wanted to sign Vicario in January

The German side signed Yann Sommer to replace the Germany international for the 2022-23 season.

Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi revealed on 'Firenzeviola' that Bayern Munich were interested in signing Guglielmo Vicario.

"Nobody has asked us about him since Bayern did it. The German side were keeping an eye on his situation. There has been no contact. We are delighted with this boy's performances," he said.
