Bayern reject Man Utd's opening bid for Pavard

Manchester United have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Andre Onana, who has replaced David de Gea, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund. However, Erik ten Hag also wants to bolster his defence.
For this reason, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils are in talks with Bayern Munich to sign Benjamin Pavard. The French right-back has been on the English club's radar for several seasons.
The German journalist reports that United have submitted an opening bid for the defender but their offer has been rejected by the German giants. However, the 27-year-old is still open to playing at Old Trafford in the 2023/24 season.
In fact, Pavard has already reached a verbal pre-agreement with the English club to join the Red Devils this summer. Both clubs are still negotiating his transfer and will have to find a suitable fee for him.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also preparing a bid for Sofyan Amrabat in an effort to bring him to the club.
