Bayern Munich confirm the departure of James Rodriguez

"In name of Bayern Munich, I want to thank James for his two years with us which have been full of success. His contribution has been very important in all the achievements in the last two seasons. We wish James all the best in the future," said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in an open letter. 

James also wanted to give thanks to Bayern: "My enormous gratitude to everyone in the club and the fans. They have supported us exceptionally. It's been two unforgettable years in Munich. I have always felt very much at ease. I take great memories away with me and I wish Bayern all the best in the future."
