Bayern leading race for Madrid and Barca target Jonathan Tah

Jonathan Tah will be one of the bargains that Europe's top teams will be fighting for in the upcoming summer transfer window, after the Leverkusen centre-back confirmed that he will not extend his contract with the club and will leave as a free agent at the end of the season.
Reports from Spain claim that FC Barcelona would be interested in reinforcing their defence with the German center-back, since he is one of the most affordable players due to the poor financial situation the Catalan club is going through.
In addition, rumors have also emerged that in case Xabi Alonso signs as Real Madrid coach this summer, he would be interested in bringing the former Hamburg man with him to the Spanish capital.
However, it is Bayern Munich who are leading the race to sign the 29-year-old defender, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.
Jonathan Tah has again been a key player under Xabi Alonso this season, making 47 official appearances so far, 46 of them starts, in which he has scored four goals.
